Legoland, in Carlsbad, California, was the third Legoland to open and the first in the United States. The theme park has a section devoted entirely to the Star Wars franchise. Featured planets include Naboo (Episode I), Geonosis (Episode II), Kashyyyk and Mustafar (Episode III), Tatooine (Episode IV), Hoth (Episode V), Endor (Episode VI) and Christophsis (from the Clone Wars). Prominent movie scenes include the battle of Naboo (Episode I), the Gladiator Arena scene on Geonosis (Episode II), the battle on Kashyyyk ― the home planet of the Wookiees (Episode III), the lightsaber duel between Obi-wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker over the lava pits of Mustafar (Episode III), the Cantina scene on Mos Eisley (Episode IV), the docking bay featuring the Millennium Falcon (Episode IV), the battle on the icy planet Hoth (Episode V), and the battle on Endor featuring the Ewoks and the Rebel Alliance fighting Imperial forces (Episode VI).

Star Wars 30th Anniversary U.S. Postage Stamps

The first Star Wars movie, A New Hope, premiered on May 25, 1977. To celebrate its 30th anniversary, the U. S. Post Office introduced a series of Star Wars commemorative stamps on May 25, 2007, which they believed would rival the Elvis Presley stamps in popularity. They also installed 400 round-top mail collection boxes made to look like R2D2.

Stamps Poster

The poster is comprised of all 15 commemorative stamps against a backdrop of Darth Vader, the Death Star and TIE fighters. Postage then was 41 cents!
R2D2 Mailbox

In March 2007, 400 round-top mail collection boxes, fitted with vinyl skins to look like R2D2, were rolled out as part of the 30th anniversary Star Wars celebration. R2D2 was chosen for its physical similarities to a mailbox and its embodiment of trust and dependability synonymous with the Postal Service.
Boba Fett

Boba Fett, a "pure clone", was raised as a son by Jango Fett, the genetic source used to create the clone army. Boba witnessed the murder of his father by Jedi Master Mace Windu, and swore vengeance on the Jedi and Mace Windu, especially. Boba became the most notorious bounty hunter in the galaxy, oftentimes working for Jabba the Hutt.
C3PO

C3PO was a bi-pedal humanoid droid, fluent in over 6 million forms of communication, programmed for etiquette and protocol. He was rebuilt by Anakin Skywalker, gifted to Padmé Amidala, and served the Organa household on Alderaan. He and his associate droid, R2D2, helped the Rebellion win many battles.
Darth Maul

Darth Maul, strong in the dark side of the Force, was a Sith assassin who served Emperor Palpatine/Darth Sidious. In a lightsaber battle with Qui-gon Jinn and Obi-wan Kenobi, he killed Qui-gon and was then killed by Obi-wan Kenobi. Later, he was rebuilt with six spider-like legs.
Darth Vader

Anakin Skywalker, raised on Tattoine as a slave, was discovered by Qui-gon Jinn to be high in midichlorians. Qui-gon believed Anakin to be "the Chosen One", and upon his death, insisted Obi-wan train him to be a Jedi. Anakin succumbed to the dark side, and became an apprentice to Darth Sidious. He was the father of Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa.
Emperor Palpatine

Palpatine was the senator from Naboo. Hiding his affiliation with the dark side, he manipulated events to become chancellor, then emperor of the galaxy. As Darth Sidious, he trained Count Dooku (Darth Tyranus) and Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader).
Princess Leia with R2D2

Princess Leia Organa, from the peaceful planet of Alderaan, was a member of the Imperial Senate and a Rebel spy. She was the biological daughter of Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala, the biological twin sister of Luke Skywalker, and the adopted daughter of Senator Bail and Queen Breha Organa. She married Han Solo and studied to be a Jedi with her brother, Luke.
Luke Skywalker

Luke Skywalker was the son of Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader) and Padmé Amidala and twin to Princess Leia Organa. He grew from Tatooine farm boy to Rebel Alliance fighter to Jedi Master. He trained under Obi-wan Kenobi and Yoda.
Millennium Falcon

The Millennium Falcon was a freighter ship with a colorful history. Eventually, it came to be owned and piloted by space smuggler Han Solo, and his co-pilot, Chewbacca, a Wookiee. A running gag throughout the second trilogy was the inoperative hyperdrive.
Obi-wan Kenobi

Obi-wan Kenobi was an apprentice to Qui-gon Jinn, a teacher to Anakin Skywalker, and a mentor to Luke Skywalker. One of the few Jedi to survive Order 66, he went into exile on Tatooine, where he could watch over Luke Skywalker, one of the twins born to Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala. He is considered to be one of the greatest Jedi of all time.
Padmé Amidala

First Queen, then Senator of Naboo, Padmé Amidala was a strong champion of peace and democracy. She helped forge an alliance with the Gungans to defeat the Trade Federation. She was secretly married Anakin Skywalker. After discovering that Anakin had become a Sith, Padmé died while giving birth to twins, Luke and Leia.
Revenge Duel

In Revenge of the Sith, Anakin Skywalker succumbed to the dark side, becoming Darth Vader. On Mustafar, Obi-wan Kenobi fought his former padawan. Believing he was dead, Obi-wan left just as Darth Sidious was arriving to help his new apprentice. Anakin was fitted with a mechanical body and became a terror in the galaxy.
Han Solo and Chewbacca

Han Solo, from the planet Corellia, and Chewbacca, a Wookiee from Kashyyyk, were space smugglers. Flying the Millennium Falcon, they travelled the galaxy while trying to avoid bounty hunters and Imperial stormtroopers. Reluctant at first, Han helped Luke destroy the Death Star, and became a General fighting alongside the Rebels.
Stormtroopers

The Imperial stormtroopers evolved from the clone trooper army that was built on the planet Kamino.
X-Wing Fighter

The X-wing fighter was the starfighter of choice for the Rebel Alliance. It's weaponry, speed and hyperdrive capability made it a valuable tool in battles against the Empire.
Yoda

Yoda was a Jedi Master who lived almost 900 years. He was a teacher and advisor to many Jedi and was considered to be one of the most powerful, influential and life-blood of the Jedi Order. After his death, he became a Force Ghost, and influenced many Jedi through his teachings.
